The original subject was "Re: Hesston Round Baler".

Hello I just bought an 856A. I have not had any luck with the net wrap system. When I engage it. it runs for maybe a second and the monitor says check mesh. I open up the back and the mesh is cut and hanging off the backside of the unit. I thought it was a problem with to much force being required to turn the roll but I put some graphite on the skids and adjusted the cradle. The only other thing I can think of is maybe the proximity sensor is bad. Does anyone have any ideas for me?

sometimes mine is a little temperamental, and I have to hit the start button 2 or 3 times to get it to catch. I have had some trouble also with the mesh count wheel on the left side of the mesh cover. It seemed to be too smooth and slipping on the roll, so I cut some shallow grooves in the wheel, and that seemed to help.

Your manual will tell you how to check the mesh in and mesh count sensors with your monitor. Best wishes.
