Disc for a ford 860

i prefer a 3 point on smaller plots simply because you can pick them up and turn around...pull type generally are heavier and cut better in 1 pass...you also need 10 acres to turn em around.

Well both have there good and bad points. The pull type run more even as in both sets of dick if a double run in the ground pretty much the same. 3 point type work well because you can lift them up to turn to go back the other way but tend to pull up so the front row of disks cut in and the back ones come up and out of the ground

10 acre to turn around??????

I have a 65 ford 4000 just an udated 860 I pull an 8 ft kewanee
disc good match for tractor and it cuts better than a 3pt it
doesn't ridge like a 3pt and I can disc my 2 gardens 50x150
each. A pull disc turns same as a 3pt get to the end of field or
garden lift disc turn around lower fisc and drive same thing for
a 3pt. Also a pull disc will cut up trash better like corn stalks or
weeds and since it's heavier it takes less passes to get
something done.
