45 Baler Decals

Are decals for the 45 baler still available? Not a popular machine, so probably very little demand, but I want to repaint my baler and I might as well make it look right.

I would take real good pictures of the old decals. Then have someone make the main ones you need. The safety/lubrication type decals would be the same as other models that are the same age but more popular.

Maybe someone else will post who to go to. I am drawing a blank right now. I know there are guys that will make them and I have had it done but I can't remember who I had do it. It has been 10 years or more ago. I just have not needed special ones made lately. I did then as I restored a NH 77 baler for a good friend. We need them just about all of them made. We where lucky in that the originals where in good shape so we could get real clear pictures.

Also you working on a 45 what????? What brand does not jump to my mind. I am guessing IH by your handle.

Sorry, I should have put in the original post. Yes it is an IH 45 baler. Not sure how many of them are left in working order today, probably only a few. I like operating it and it makes nice bales, and after over sixty years of service, an overhaul is in order.

Henry, are yours good enough to get a good picture from. If so I could get them made for you locally. Have to get with you on all the other parts we had talked about. Just got back from a 4 day vacation.

Hi Leroy,
some of them are OK. The decals inside the twine boxes and on the underside of the knotter cover. The 45 decals are ordinary. I think they are the same size as the M emblem on a Farmall M. Two circles with a 45 in the centre. I'll see if I can get a good picture. All the other McCormick decals have completely disappeared.

Hope we see some pictures when it's done.

Our 45 project never got off the ground, unfortunately.

The baler was going to be donated to our 4H club - but then somebody offered one that would be a better fit for us, a NH66 with a wisconsin engine.

I never thought I'd actually be turning equipment down when I put an ad out for donations!

A nice reminder not to loose complete faith in modern society, there are a lot of good hearted, generous people out there.
