Ford 513 Rake belt

After 40 years finally need to replace the drive belt on the rake.
This looks like it will be a PITA. Where do I disassemble to get the belt on the Reel pulley? I can see I need to unbolt the axle from the frame to get it on the axle pulley.

My manual has 4 steps to do it, all on one page. Send me an email and phone number and I'll fax it to you or scan it as an attachment. Not sure I can do either really. but I'll try.

Worst part is taking the axle, off, to put the new belt on. Still beats replacin the gearbox on, say a NH 256, 8 hours, and then find out that the new parts are defective, but that's another story!

Takes the same belt as the New Idea 400 series. There is no easy way to install. Good luck. Ken Sweet

A close look at the rake will be pretty much self explanetary on what you have to take apart.Yes,it's going to be a real pain in the a$$

I realize that. It looks like it can be done by unbolting the 2 halves of the pulley or by unbolting the bearing from the frame.
Want to make sure before unbolting the wrong part.
