Direction of tiller teeth

My brother just got a 3 pt. tiller for his pumpkin business. Last year or the year before he borrowed one, the teeth were bolted on so they basically corkscrewed in one direction, and then it pulled extremely hard to one side, smashing his new PTO sheild (Oliver 550).

The one he got today the teeth are bolted on in the same fashion. I'm thinking he should take 1/2 of them off and make it so they mirror the other 1/2 of the tiller to even up the side pull, and then it'll follow better.

Am I wrong, or should he go through the trouble of changing the blades around? He plans to go over every nut & bolt anyway because it's from TSC.

I've owned a King Kutter tiller for years that I bought from TSC and I'm going to have to replace the the teeth on it because they're getting very worn. It pulls straight behind tractor. I've just glanced at the teeth before but I think they are attached in a spiral fashion with ever other tooth pointing in opposite direction. I can take a photo of them and post it later this AM.

I have used several different brands and not had any problems pulling straight. I would just X two small chains across the three point arms. They will act like sway bars but will still have some movement. If you hook them right at where the lift links hook to the lift arms then the other end to the draw bar support crossed in an X they will work even with the PTO shaft. This way you limit sideways movement.
