I need to find the specs on this tiller, can not find model or ser. number. Need to know weight and pto speed.any help would be much appreceated.

If it has a Selecta-Tilth gearbox, it's a Howard
Rotovator. I think the M series were the biggest and
I'd guess it's a 1000 RPM PTO as it takes a lot of
H.P. to run an 11' tiller. They were the finest
tillers ever made but aren't made any more. There
should be info the net about them though.

Howard is an Aussie company and is still in business and still markets the Rotavator. Wearabouts they are made now I don't know. A lot of the old selectatilths were made in England but Howard U.K. went under some years back, they also owned at the time Manns of Saxham which were the Claas importers, so all the Claas combines of that period in England had the big Howard 'H' logo on the rear hood. Howard also made the Massey-Ferguson grain drlls (M-F 30) for Massey-Ferguson. The Rotavators and Rotaspreaders (Rotary muck spreaders, identical to the Deere and made by Howard for Deere) were then made by Dowdeswell for a while and painted green. The new Rotavators they now market (or make?) are called the 'HR' series.

If it IS a Howard Rotavator and you need some brand new blades for it , I have some. My e-mail is open. RB
