Case 600 4-18 rollover plow

Looking for any tips and information folks may have to make the learning curve a bit easier with this plow. First off, I HAVE tried to get a book on it, cant find one. Biggest thing is wondering what the ideal tread width to set the tractor at, it will be on a 4020 with 18.4-34 tires. I`m guessing set the inside of the tire to a couple inches further out than the landside of the rear bottom? That doesn`t seem right as the bottoms are offset to the sod side so it seems like the furrow-side tire will not be in the furrow.

I think I just answered my own question, but any tips would be appreciated.

I don't have a book on a 600 but my 200 series Case plows call for 66" between the wheels, I think I will dig out my book and post back if that incorrect I have had good luck with this guy on ops books Jim Meister 419-562-3094 good choice on the 600 plow they were good units, and do not know the # but they were made by White for Case some you may get a book thru a mf dealer e-mail is open if i can help further cnt

Call the museum in Charles City they may have the Case version, if not get the book for the white version. Wheel tread determins width of cut both on the right & left hand side so you need to set it so the front bottom cuts 18 inches.

If you would like, follow the link below. It's CaseIH's Technical Publications Store. They have both the owner's manual & parts catalog for the 600 series rollover plow. Just enter "600" in the box marked "Model" & if you type in plow, under keyword, it'll speed up your search considerably. You can even order & download it immediately if you have a credit card or Pay-Pal. You can also order direct from any CaseIH dealer.

Enjoy!

I don"t know about that plow specifically, but the critical dimension is from the centerline of the tractor to the inside edge of the rear tire. both sides should be the same, for obvious reasons. the tread width is what determines the width of cut for the first bottom. so i would think that with a tape measure you could figure it out, or at least get close enough. for an 18" bottom, seems to me the tread width (measured from centerline) should be 18" more than the distance from the centerline of the plow to the tip of the point the first bottom.

Sounds like you may have a on-land plow.In that case, leave the wheels narrow-stay out of the furrow.
