This video put out by NH is an excellent video showing in slow motion how the knotter works on sq baler. It is helpful no matter what brand/color twine baler one operates. Sorry as I don't know how to post the link.

This is a very good video of a knotter working. Most brands of knotters work much the same. So this will help you on other brands too.

Tx Jim : to attach a link. Look just below the Comment box. The line that says" Optional Link URL" is where you put the web address of the link. Then just below that is a box " Link Title" type in what you want the link called. The site will take care of the rest.

Thanks Mr seller but with my Oldtimers I'll forget what you posted before I'll have a need to post another link. I just wished I'd seen that video before the very few times I've worked a twine baler. I never could really understand how the billhook put the knot in the twine until I viewed the video. 99% of my sq baling experience is with wire balers.

Not that I can help you but whats your JI Case wire baling exactly doing??? Will all the wire guide rollers turn freely with no flat spots worn in them? Are the wire guides free of grooves? Are twister shafts free of grooves?

So thats how it does it. Just like looping rope with your 2 fingers while rolling wrist. I might want to recheck my feed tine timing though, mine lift up later than the video.
