I bought a New Idea Rake/Tedder No 4bar. Sorry I don"t know all the proper terminology. The bar that you move to put it in & out of gear is bent really bad. I plan to straigten it, but was not sure if it suppose to be straight or have a slight bend in it. If it is suppose to have a bend in it could you let me know where or how much of a bend, or even better send me a picture of what it should look like.

Thanks for any info you can give!
Paula

I would say clutch rod and it is supposed to be straight. There is an adjustment on it so that it will enguage the clutch equally in both gears. Small is rake and large is ted. Teeth readly avaible but if you need wheel dogs contact me as friends have them made. The left wheel is made to set in the out position for raking and slide the wheel in for flipping the row. Drive only about 3 1/2 to 4 Mph max. Designed to work at the speed of a horse or 2 1/2 mph.
