John Deere 330 round baler

Does anyone have any experience with a 330 JD round baler - how much hp to run? reliability? and anything else you could comment on? I know it is a 4x4 baler and dry hay only.

We have a 335 that we bought new. It is almost the same as a 330. I wish I knew how many bales it has made at least 15,000. The belts are shot but we keep using it. It has probaly baled 7000 bales of cornstalks and 1000 bales of hi-moisture hay. We have replaced the drive chains and rebuilt the pickup twice. We pull it with a 3020 or 4020 but my dad sometimes used his 40 hp 2040 to run it. Ours has electric tie and never causes and problems. In hi-moisture hay you have to clean the rolls off every 10-15 bales. I want to replace the belts this year. Ours has been a great baler.

Bought my 330 baler used 5 years ago. Excellent unit goes forever easy on belts operate with a 50 hp. Kubota great pull and fast. Thanx from southern B.C.
