I have an older AC side delivery hay rake, model unknown. Belt is not on it. I need to know how to route the belt, can't figure it out. Thanks.

Thanks for the replies. Any other help will be greatly appreciated. I'll try these tips and see if I can't get this thing going.

I did one once, and I'm working from memory. Put the belt around the big pulley on the axle. Follow the belt over the top of that pulley. It will go around the idler that's farthest from the tractor, then goes under the pulley on the basket wheel. Then it goes over the front idler and back to the bottom of the axle pulley

I put one on about 15 yrs ago and I can remember keeping the V part of the belt in the pully grooves and the backside of the belt ran on the idlers. I know that is not much help. Best I can do. Ken Sweet

Latter 77G and 78 model hay rakes were belt driven.
