FB Drill Scraper boot and tow

Well, the only casualty so far in my move from Alabama to Michigan has been my Drill's cast iron scraper. I broke one off and am havin a time findin another one.

Anyone know where I can find one for a Deere FB drill???

Thanks,

Brad Bachelor

You gotta tell us... single disc or double disc openers?

Scraper for double is still available from Deere, scraper for single, not so much!

I'd suggest you locate another parts man. The part #s are still the same #s as when I stood behind a JD parts counter although the prices are quite a bit higher.

M19500 SCRAPER - TOE RH ADD 6.99 US
M19501 SCRAPER - TOE LH ADD 6.99 USD
BB3098M RH BOOT TOE SCRAPER ASSY SPOT ADD 120.00
BB3099M LH BOOT TOE SCRAPER ASSY SPOT ADD
140.00

If it just broke into 2 pieces, instead of shattering into a bunch of pieces, I'd weld it back together with some nickel rod; btdt........

Is this what you're looking for? If so, I've got a couple.

They came from the right side of my FB.

Thanks everyone..... BHB, That is exactly what I need. Mine is smack dab in the middle, so I'm not sure about RH and LH... Its 1000 miles away right now too... Could you email me at bachelorb (at) ymail.com . I'd like to get a little more info.

Thanks,

Brad Bachelor

I had a couple that broke. Beveled broken edges and welded them with wire welder. Seems to be holding fine.

I have broken several cast iron boots on my FB drill. I brazed them together and they are still holding after several years.

If it is just the scraper, I've fashioned them out of a piece of strap iron. Bend it in a vice, with a hammer. Without the scraper - on the bottom of the disk, the roots and stuff will bunch up behind disk and clog up things something fierce.
