"Restoring" A Ford/Dearborn 3pt Cultivator

Hello.

I have, what I believe to be, a Ford/Dearborn 3 point "gang" cultivator. If I remember correctly, it has 9 shanks/shovels which are in very good condition, and it was priced right.

I am looking to strip the rust off the angle iron box, shanks, and the 3 point framework. I realize the coloring has nothing to do with function; however, I would like to redo this implement in the original color scheme.

Can anyone help me to identify the original Ford/Dearborn coloring for this particular implement?

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

(quoted from post at 13:03:42 02/21/11) Perhaps someone loved Deere too much to allow the red to be seen on their tractor.

Mine is very faded red.

@ greenbeanman: Are you indirectly inferring that the cultivator should be red?

Maybe the PO had a John Deere brain feeze or else green was what he had sitting on a shelf . Strip & repaint it the correct color quick before its real history is warped . God bless
