Dearborn 10-1 age?

Just picked this up yesterday for very decent price. Previous owner and I were talking, and he was pretty sure he had it longer than I have been alive.

Wasn't sure if anybody here could give best guess from serial number or not.

Full album of both plows just bought
Even best approximation would be appreciated.

I was going to guess 1950 or earlier, but that would
be just a guess. My 10-1 s/n is 93675... and it's
still old enough to be a Dearborn, rather than Ford,
plow. I think they dropped the Dearborn name in the
mid-'60s.

The Dearborn name came with the 8N for 1948 and lasted untill 1956 when they dropped it for Ford when the XX1 series Fords came out as 1957 models

I have a Dearborn plow, a 10-1 2 bottom.?? the ser # is 48534 or what I could make of it, if I understand this book I have they might be from 1947-50, maybe someone else might know? But they work good on the rocky clay soil I have, and the little bit I use them. Then I go over the ground with my MF 25 dics.

Thanks gang. Appreciate the approximation.

Nice to know that my Dearborn will get a second life from me. Hopefully many years good use. Little work to do on the Ferguson, and maybe get its second life(or third or fourth by looks of it) for someone else soon.

Also have the serial # put onto photo bucket along with our files for farm. Recent conversations on other parts of this forum got me to thinking, just in case someone gets a wild hair. Things have been known to disappear.
