Crescent Forge - Anyone know any FACTS on current status?

Twice in the last day or so, someone has mentioned Crescent Forge as a source for out-of-production plow parts.

As far as I'm aware, they've been out of business for 2-3 years now. They've been looking for a buyer, but not finding one. Last I heard they were going to scrap the whole operation if no buyer could be found.

Rather than perpetuate a rumor that may not be true, can anyone with FIRST HAND knowledge update us on the status of Crescent Forge?

The website is still online, but a web hosting company with sloppy system management will leave stale sites up for years, so...
 
I posted about 2 weeks ago about the future of Crescent .The web was a long term, that hasn't run out. Send me a email with your phone number & time to contact you I will be glad to explain the details. I do not own the company ,but I am in contact with the owner weekly. Thanks Earl

I searched for your post, and I cannot find it.

You've appeared in other posts stating you are handling communications for Crescent Forge. Are they in fact in business?

Can you please provide a link to the post, or an updated status?

I finally found your post by looking at every thread you've replied to since November 2008...

You're not at liberty to publicly discuss the status of the company.

I'll tell you what they need to do to be successful, if someone decides to continue the business...

Cut prices in half. At least.

Last I heard an 0554 share for a Little Genius was close to $100...

So, to bring my $30 Little Genius back to operational status, I would need to spend about $200. That's 7 times what the plow is worth, and double what I could sell the plow for with new shares!

Crescent Forge priced themselves out of existence the last time around. They're catering to a "beer and baloney butt" crowd, but trying to sell things at "champagne and caviar" prices.

Please don't let them make the same mistake twice.
