Case 3 bottom trailer plow

I've been looking for a plow for my SM and have turned up a few but nothing that I've felt compelled to pull the trigger on yet.

On that I am looking at is a Case with 3 16" bottoms. It's a mechanical lift and on rubber.

I've never really seen a Case before, when you do find them they tend to be IH or JD. It has some red paint on the frame and green paint on the hitch and has two adjusting levers.

I really haven't seen Cases before, usually when you find them their either IH or JDs. Are the Case plows good plows? Can you still get wear parts?

Thanks,

K

the Centennial plow is a nice working easy pulling plow and was pretty popular around here, later ones had throw-a-way lays, some die-hard IH families around hee preferred the Case plow over the #8 IH which I consider to also be a good plow.

Thanks for the reply.

I was going to say I thought it might be a Centennial based on some pictures. Sounds like they're not bad plows.

Did they ever make one with a hydraulic lift or were they all trips?

I had a Case 3-16s hydraulic lift plow for a very short time. I don't know if it was a Centennial or not, but it was very similar to the IH #8. I sold the plow before I ever had a chance to use it.
