Does a hesston hydro 1014 have a flywheel clutch?

While mowing with my swather the sickle bar arm stopped being driven by the fly wheel, even though the rest of the belt and pully gears still spun. I cleaned out hay stuck in the cutter blades and everything works fine. Did I damage the fly wheel or does it have some kind of internal clutch?

My filed is only yielding a ton of hay an acre. I'm wondering why the blades jammed with grass. Do you think my pto rpm was too low? Or was I dragging the swather too fast? Or do you think I've got a loose belt? Or something else?

Run tractor at PTO speed.Run slow enough to cut(3rd gear) not tear.belt must be tight(fiddlestring tight). Is belt twisted?if so,replace it.Are the sections and gaurds sharp and tight? grass needs sharp sections and guards, especially mountain grass.Did you just buy this machine? Are you from Westcliffe,CO.?

I did just buy the machine. We replaced some blades but others are pretty old (still attached by rivets). I think the belt may be a tad loose; the pulley bearing is wobbly and probably needs to be replaced. I needed to weld the shaft to the auger clutch plate and intend to take that apart and make a better weld than what we could do through the inspection plate this winter. Still looking for a decent used baler.
