Anyone have experience with the Ag Bag Flex-a-Tuber machines for wrapping round bales? Usually have everything custom wrapped but came across one of these machines and wanted to know how well they worked - how fast, easy to operate, dependable or not, bags hard to mount etc. Would be used for approximately 5-700 4x5 bales per year. Any comments would be appreciated.

There are several problems with them. First, you can only tube the length of the bags. Then you have to switch to a new one, in-line wrappers allow you to go as long as you want. Second the bag only gives you one layer of plastic. When I used one the hay stems would poke holes in the plastic and let air in. The in-line wrappers allow more layers of plastic to be put on. Advantages: Cheaper machine to buy. Simple without hydraulic motors. Work fairly fast.
