Ford plow 3X14

I saw this listed for sale.
What model is it?
Is it a trip plow; or, is it a shear pin model?
He is asking $395 CDN. Is this reasonable, if it is in good condition?
He was careful not to show the plow wear areas.

Contact him & ask for pics of the wear areas . It appears to be the 101 version with coulters & tail wheel . If the wear parts are ok, grab them before someone else does come spring . HTH ! God bless

I'll take a guess and say it's a shear pin type, no springs to reset, but I think some of these had another reset mechanism ??? looks the same or similar to my ford 110 single bottom, which could be made into a 2 bottom according to the book. I use grade 2's in there, only in new ground do they shear,roots etc., he should hoist it up and show the other side, still hard to really judge from a photo, but..... better than no photo. I'd have to say it's reasonable if you don't have to put wear parts on it. A new single bottom, can be $500, from what I have seen.

There's probably a reason he's not showing the wear areas. Insist on better pictures, if you don't get better pictures I'd forget this one. Moldboards cost more than a whole plow does.

I bought that same plow (3 16) last summer but dropped one bottom off of it. Probably could have pulled 3 in our rocky, rooty clay loam soil but the 2 pulls so nice.
That one would have been the cat's meow behind your 4600.

I think the 4600 might handle 4 but three will be fine with me.
