Could be my last baler question

All supposed to be in top shape and ready to bale. Local dealer and parts source advises Claas or Welger. Local farmers say that the common balers when folks around here had them were Claas and John Deere. The three that I have been offered are;

Welger AP12K (48+/- years old)
Claas Markant (35-40 years old)
John Deere 332 (20 years old)

All have a haggle price of 1400 euro.

I think the more modern JD is my choice because I can regulate the size/weight of the bales and parts may be easier to find, but I think the simplicity of the older models is a plus also. Any of you have experience with the JD 332? What would you folks consider if you were doing between 500 and 1000 bales a year?

Thanks,

Dave

The 332 is an European model number. Probably like our 337 or 338. Knotters are the same parts as in USA. They probably are the older style, knotters but can be upgraded if necessary. Parts should be available in any case. Good simple balers. Operators manuals have all adjustments you probably will ever need and good troubleshooting of knotter problems. Basic design hasn't changed since 1970's. Just refined.
