Anyone own or have owned a Deutz-Allis(Fahr) drum mower?

I just picked up an old drum mower in decent shape and was wondering about the lubrication. I can't seem to locate any manuals for it on the net.

Just found my service bulletin for the KM 22,1.65m about 5' cut and the KM25 2.1m or 7' cut turbo mowers 2.5liters of #140gear oil in the Km22 and 4 liters of the same in theKM25. the gear oil will leak down to lube the bearings in the saucers so if its not been used for a while some oil may fly out around the knives when you first start it.

Thanks, Is there a level check somewhere or do you just remove the fill plug and wing it? I'm sure it's already got some oil in it. I had to take a saucer off to change out some bent blade hangers and I noticed oil in the bottom of the cap that goes in the hub.

The fella that I bought it from had already had both saucers welded on. The whole bottom that rides along the ground has been replaced with 3/16 steel.

I've already noticed that parts for this thing are extremely hard to locate. I guess if it last me 4 or 5 yrs and I break a shaft or gear I'll just scrap it.
 
I haven't found any info on the oil level I try to keep about half of the shaft covered on my KM25 Where are you at? I'm in Wisconsin used to be a dealer.

I'm real near Louisville Ky.

Mine is also a KM25.
 
are you happy with that km 22 i just picked 1 up looks real good but have not run it yet will get manual first and service it before firing up THANX
