I need to mow around my pond. A push mower mounted on my tractors 3 pt could do a great job. A reach of 5 feet to the side of the rear tire could knock down bank grasses and cattails in just a couple passes. Does any one know of any company that makes any thing like this?
Thanks

I've seen them homemade, seems pretty easy to build.

I'm not understanding what you mean by a push mower mounted on a 3 point but they do make offset brush cutters. Most are big and heavy ( they need a counter weight)but I saw one just the other day that looked to be about 3 foot and mid mounted.
Neither do I know who makes them but around here they're green. The hiway department uses them.
The next best would be pitmanless sickle mower.

how about a old cycle mower, most reach 6-7 ft.

should be plenty of them used out there, worth a try to see if it would work.

only thing that comes to mind are those pull behind trailmowers for atv's. The tounge can be set to the side. They come in sizes up to about 56in I think. They would probably work for you, but they dont hookup on 3pt. You'd have to have a drawbar
