I have a Model 14-15 rear-mounted mower that needs a new knife assembly. The local NH dealer wants about $150 (plus s/h) and I know they are cheaper elsewhere. Can anyone suggest good mail order suppliers?

Also,does anyone know why the the model 14-1 and 14-9 knife sets are less than half the price for other models?

You are very lucky he could even find one for that mower, most dealers don't even have a way of looking up parts anymore (don't even know what that model is). It has the ball on the end of the pitman bar instesd of on the knife head like all other mowers except 2 models of Dearborn-Ferguson and 1 model of Case made by Detroit Harvestor. The other models are newer and made by a different company and are of the newer standard style. You will have a steel pitman instead of wood like the others.

they came both eawy some had ball on pitman & some had ball on bar. mine has ball on pitman. they are hard to find.
