I have a 7' one that Dad used for cutting hay. Have spare parts, manual, ect. If I spend about a day, it will be working again. Could it be used for mowing pond/ditch banks?

Bob is right on the part about the pitman. It might be good to keep a spare one handy. One of the good things about a #9 is there is no tail wheel to drop in a hole and get bent when you are backing up. Also, you won't hurt the PTO when you are driving in to or out of the ditch. Jim

Depends upon the angle of the ditches or banks.

Since the #9 has a pitman, it will not work at as great of an up or down angle as will a pitmanless unit.
