I am looking for the molasses tank and bracket that was used on the IH 850-1150 Grinder/Mixers. If anyone has one that is useable and wants to sell it, please let me know. Thanks in advance. Scott

man i worked for back then added cotton seeds to his mix and a lot of salt. he said it made their stomachs burn and they would eat more. i don't know why he wanted them to eat more. there was about 400 head in an 6 acre lot and it was all we could do all day, everyday to crush feed for them. it was so cold driving from the source of the feed to where the cows were that snot would freeze when it ran out of your nose and it would never make it to your lips. sucks and i was hungry too.

i may be wrong, but don't they offer a powered bag of this stuff. its been years since i helped grind feed. the last time i remember was when i worked for a man who weighted close to 300 pounds. he and i were up in a 2 1/2 ton truck over knee deep in shelled corn and was scopping it out the tail gate opening into the grinder when he slipped and fell. he hurt his back and couldn't get up. you should have seen us trying to get him out of the truck over onto a porch and into the bed. no fun so quit laughing.

Yup. We use it sometimes when making haylage or oatlage. Cows like it.

I am sure they still do, sometimes we used to add some to a batch of feed, we also used sweet packs that smelled like vanilla.
