Have a chance to buy an F2 with a straight head, pickup head and 4 row narrow corn head. Package deal. Problem is the diesel must of gotten some bad fuel and needs the pump rebuilt. Previous owner started removing the pump then bought a different machine. F2 has about 3100 actual hours and looks in average condition other than the fact there is some wet old grain in the hopper from when the combine quit 2 years ago. Any thoughts on the deal? What is it worth? looks kind of wide for transporting.

Is it a 77 model short shoe or newer long shoe?

Which engine, Allis 6 or the turbo 4?

Gear or hydro?

Manual fold or hydraulic fold auger. I forget when that was or wasnt an option. If hydraulic what shape is the pivot in, if it gets real rusty and bad the balls can fall out
and thats not good.

Wet grain in hopper, is the bottom of the hopper rusted out? Ugh.

Can the fuel get flushed out or is it really fouled up the pump does need rebuild.

If I was selling, I'd want three thousand. If I was buying, I wouldn't want to give more than five hundred.

I bought one similar to that last year for $800. Header clutch had failed and they just parked it. Had sat outside for about 8 years but the grain tank was clean. New fuel and filters and it fired
right up. Had 4rn corn head and old style bean head. With the grain in the tank and fuel problems I think you unit would be worth less. depends on how much you want to monkey with it.
