Done with harvest, cousin is not, his beans are way late, he came to help Father in law, we take the head off to move through timber for last two little fields.
Only to find a slotted crack hole in the bottom of the feeder house. Mig welder to the rescue!
Rattle chain ready to replace too!

Got the last leftovers cut out Wednesday.

Sorry to hear that you have weather. In Columbia MO now for State Cross country meet event, windy cloudy and 44.
They got .6 here
Good luck there with your weather.
Prayers for those who aren't done yet, GG Wes

I have 5 acres of corn left. Had 2 breakdowns earlier that are simple to fix. A bad U joint and a bad alternator.

One took 2 days, the other took 2 and 1/2 days.

Had to disassemble most of the clean grain elevator head to get to the u joint and take the auger to the ground by myself, then was given the wrong size ujoint and had to wait until morning to get the one 1/32 inch smaller and reassemble everything by myself. That was way too many trips up to the loader bucket on the outside and also into the grain bin over the cab by this old man......

The alternator I touched 5 of them before I got a good working setup and thats all I will say about that mess. Frustrating.

Both jobs should have been less than 2 hours including running for parts.

At least its not crowded by the elevator any more, I think Im the only one harvesting still. Not open over the weekends so hope to finish Monday.

About 200 acres of beans yet and all but about 10 acres of corn. Corn will go pretty fast with the bin at the end of the day haul some to elevator and then fill bin after they close. if down in the mid to high teens for moisture it will keep till we get done and load out. needs to be cool to cold though, no temps like we have been having.

Nice pics..My farm renter came over last Weds morning to pay the rent..At that time he and his Dad still had 600 acres of beans left to cut plus over 500 acres of wheat to sow..Due to the drought the beans on my farm made from 18-30 bushels per acre...30 was there very best yield..We got .40 inches of rain on Friday evening. They got much more rain to the north, west, and to the east..From here south they didnt do so good.

Got done today finally. Tillage and such left yet, but combining is finally done.

Same with Elmer, a few minor breakdowns,
Cleangrain sensor went off, Bailey my son, was helping that afternoon, low and behold, some of the paddles were loose on the chain, but hadn't come all the way off!
Wowsers, that'd been a wreck!

Good luck to those finishing!

Drizzle and 61' and over ast since noon here today.
