Straw Walker Questions

I had a question for you guys regarding the straw walkers on my Gleaner K2 combine, how do you clean them out?? I removed the plate off the end but
didn't really know how to get all of the stuff out of them.

If I remember right, we started at the front of the straw walker with a large screwdriver and working towards the back loosen the debris and then run the machine slowly to get the stuff moved out. This is one reason we went to an open bottom straw walker. I thought the K2 had an open bottom. If so there is stuff on top and a stiff broom should get it loose.

Or if you can get a little person in there on some plywood to pull it out, a tedious job i know !!
