9500 JD Wont move

Hello everyone. I have a 9500SH John Deere combine im having an issue with. One of our guys was combining along and it stopped moving and started beeping about hydraulic oil temp at the same time. The rest of the hydraulics work like moving the head up and down. moving the auger and the guts all run it just wont move. We found the hydraulic oil tank was empty so we filled it with oil and let it set overnight. we tried it again this afternoon and the light went out but it still wont move.

Does anyone have any ideas on where to look? i really dont want to be down for long as i was harvesting buckwheat and its starting to get really wet

Thank you for reading and have a nice day

Recheck the oil again and change the filter. There is one on them I believe. You may find the answer in the filter Meaning the shavings from the hydrostat. You may need to add oil as it is pumped into the system to fill it back up in the lines, pump, and motor. Might also check the oil levels in the wheel ends for the hubs. Might also be a broken shaft or gear in the transmission from the hydro drive. You will not be able to see it since the motor bolts right on to the transmission. OR pull the motor off the transmission and see if the motor shaft turns when the hydro lever is moved.

I tried checking the oil while it was running and when it was off. no change in the level both times. the head drops fast but raises slow at first but steadily gets faster. i installed a brand new filter on it about 10 minutes ago and no change. There is no grinding or growling like a broken gear so im going to rule that out. I bit the bullet and have a guy from John Deere scheduled to come out next week to diagnose it. In comes a 800$ service bill to diagnose it

Thinking about this have you checked to see the ends of the cable controlling hydro are moving just in case the cable happen to break or disconnect? It will either be down at the transmission or back at the engine. Just a thought.
