Uni out picking

I had a custom picking job I did yesterday. One wagon. Picker worked fine, but elevator is too slow, and it will not throw all the way to the back of the wagon. I had to get out and fork it back twice to make a load. The speed control was all the way up and the flapper was all the way open. Even at first gear all the way back, the elevator just could not keep up. I know these were made when a 100 bu yield was a good crop, but this is ridiculous. I think I may need to get a bigger elevator on it.

Pics are sideways, I know. Neighbor forwarded them to me, and he held the phone wrong.

Do you know if the whole machine is running the right speed? Could you put a different sprocket on the elevator drive somewhere?
Story- Went out on a call on a new two row NI picker that wouldn't fill wagon. I found that the main gear box had been installed
for 1000 RPM. Only because everything was brand new the guy was successfully picking corn with the picker running about half
speed! Except that it wouldn't throw ears to the back of the wagon!

Hey Bob, the elevator is hydraulic drive. No sprockets to change. I ran the machine 3/4 throttle at first, but went to full throttle. I did not see an increase in throwing ability. On another forum, someone suggest I change the oil filter, so I will try that.

Had a neighbor that owned uni systems and
did custom work.all wagons had to have a
board added on back as his would put the
corn over the back.I guess you have a
problem with the hyaulic motor or flow
from the pump. Good luck

Is the wagon box ten foot long? That one looks longer than ten feet. Maybe shorten the wagon tongue to move the wagon closer to the elevator?
