6620 Hydraulic System Troubleshooting

We had issues with losing hydraulic fluid last fall during corn, replaced a couple hoses and fittings before wheat this year and that stopped the fluid loss.

During wheat this year fluid heated up quite hot with small bubbles/fluid getting a bit milky. We can't find anymore leaks but hydraulics are a bit sluggish, header will sag on the engine side of machine. Main pump does make a bit of a purring/clicking sound from time to time at the end of wheat.

Any suggestions on areas to check?

With the milky fluid (water?) I wonder if a starting place would be to change the fluid, filter and clean the screen.

These are pictures of a hydraulic fluid filter and screen from a 6620 I recently did. Suspect flow was slowed a bit:)
