John Deere 6620-cylinder tachometer in cab not working

I started on some corn this afternoon with my John Deere 6620 SH. Went to set the trashing cylinder RPM and I see the gauge in the cab is not working. The little round rubber/nylon belt that runs the cylinder RPM tachometer is in place on the two pulleys. What typically is broken that causes no reading? I would assume it is the flexible cable between the driving pulley and the tachometer. Anyone ever put a new cable in? How is it done? Thanks.

Problem solved! I went back out tonight to combine a little of another variety to check the moisture. All of a sudden it came to mind that the little nylon belt needs to have a twist in it. Problem solved. Combine had gotten cleaned up last week and there was a bunch of soybean fuz/dust on the belt and pulleys. It had turned itself off of the pulleys. I saw this when greasing and put it back on forgetting to put a twist in it.

GLAD you got it working, as the old saying goes ''The devil's in the details''!
