I pulled my injection pump off earlier and found the pump driveshaft was broke. After getting the pump apart and found it was seized up from old fuel and the flex ring was in pieces all throughout the pump. Now i am trying to get the shaft out of the engine and can't get the son of a gun out. I built an angle iron piece yesterday to try and press it out but no luck. Would it be ok to heat the shaft up while keeping pressure on it without damaging the sprocket? I am trying to avoid taking the housing off and removing the sprocket if possible. Any suggestions?
