Deere 6620 - Improving cab fan air pressure

My son and I sometimes feel like there is not enough air flow coming from the cab fan. The fan is running as you can feel some flow and also hear it. Is purchasing a new fan from either Deere or an aftermarket like Shoup going to improve anything? Lastly, was there ever an upgraded fan sold for a John Deere 6620 with more capacity? If the combine wasn't in such good shape and a sidehill I would probably opt for a better cab on a later model Deere. Thanks.

Before you get a new fan I would check that the evaporator is not plugged up.I have seen more than that the fins have been totally packed with dust, even with a cabin filter.

I had a Freightliner that quit blowing air but the fan was running. THe cab filter was plugged up.

Take the top off the cab. Then remove the air box covers. Then clean the heater and evaporator core fins out. They will be plugged full of dirt/mud. The drain tubes plug up an then any dirt turns into mud and plugs everything up. Also check the passages from the cab air filters up to the air box. I have often found them to be plugged with all kinds of nests.

Also check all of the electrical connections to the fan. They where bad about having bad grounds an then the motor would not run a full speed. Plus the fan switch can also go bad. To text that out, run a jumper wire directly to good battery voltage and see if the fan runs faster.
