Case 660 Replacement Parts

Since I have to post a few times before I can share pictures, I figure I should get all my possibly dumb questions out of the way.

I recently saved a gas Case 660 Combine. Even though it was stored inside for the past 20 some years, it was not cleaned out after its last harvest and some wildlife used it to seek refuge at some point. Now bear with me because I am new to Combines as our farm was primarily fruit crop up until now.

The front straw racks (immediately after the rub bar cylinder) have some corrosion. I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction to find replacements or save me from endlessly searching and just fabricating new ones.

Additionally, if anyone has any suggestions where to find reliable replacement parts for these units, I would be more than happy to hear about it. I have already had some luck with the belts from Vbeltguys. The unit came with a grain head, but I would also be interested in finding a corn head for it.

Not alot of oem parts left in the
warehouses anymore.May need to search
parts yards and put a ad on Craigs list in
your area.I used a heavy piece of hardware
cloth on a spot of mine until I found a
second straw rack and made one good out of
two. They were a very good machine in their
day and will still out clean alot of newer
machines. My email is open

If you mean the grain pan up front, you can have similar pieces made by a steel shop and weld them over. If you mean the actual straw rack you will probably need to repair that. Only parts you really are going to need are bearings, belts and chains. Almost anything else can be repaired or made. I do see parts/heads/part machines on craigslist in PA from time to time so i would check your area from time to time. They are very nice machines, in dry very good soybeans with a 13 foot head you could just scoot through the field like my 1660. Soybeans would just be flowing out into the tank and you would be filled (small hopper) in no time. I had the 13 foot head with the MW Robot auto header, left nothing on the ground and would pick up a fallen soybean on the ground without a bit of dirt with it. My 1020 now just is a constant nuisance and is inferior to that Case head. Good luck with it.
