Is there a valve spool operated by a linkage that has gotten worn or sticky and it is not returning fully to center (the valve that swings out the unloading auger would be one example).

Any unusual noises such as the sound of the pump being "loaded" all the time?

The hoses are connected. How many
of those valves are their. How
would you decide which one it is

Listen for a noisy hydraulic component and (starting with the machine "cool" note what component may heat up quickest (a thermal "heat gun" is helpful for this).

Years ago neighbor had problem with 6620 hydraulic oil getting hot. In hi case the unloading auger control valve was sticking after it folded back in.

I had a problem with the reel valve not returning to neutral after lowering the reel, causing a heating problem. I wouldn't think the reel valve would be power up & down, but on the 7720 it is power down and will rub the relief valve if not returned to neutral.
