Last fall the hydraulic pump on my Gleaner E gave out. Everything related to the pump from Agco is NLA. None of the local salvage operations even had any Es left. I was all set to make a 4-5 hour drive down to Kansas City when a buddy came through with a used one. It got me through the rest of the season, but it was worn out. A local hydraulic shop was able to custom modify an off the shelf pump to work. Since the original had the reservoir mounted directly on the pump, I made a base out of aluminum to bolt to the bottom of the reservoir and connect a return and suction line to. Before it was struggling to lift the 2 row, now it picks the 3 row up easily.

Brian - Great piece of farmer engineering! I always have to keep the belt on my EIII super tight to keep the hydraulics working good. That E330 head looks good on your E - I didn't realize you had an open station E. Have you hooked up the drive and got the head working?

I ran a half load in it yesterday and took a sample in and measured 14.3 and 58. Im getting lots of stalks going through the combine. Looking at the blades on the snapping rolls, theyre very worn. Of course theyre NLA from Agco and going by the part number I havent been able to find them from Shoup, All States, or Abilene Machine. I spent last night building them up with the welder. It doesnt appear to be overloading the separator. Once its in the machine, its getting to the bin.

I have a Gleaner E if anyone needs it been setting a long time and motor is rusted up(G226). Got the head off engine and cylinders full of transmission fluid try to unstick. Was gonna use engine for an edger but got something else... Anyone wanting it let me know,,,
