white 8700 head won't lower

has anyone have had a problem with head not lowering. have had the lift section apart didn't find anything that looked wrong. any help would be appreciated

Back many years ago, went to go cut milo with a JD 55 combine and the header wouldn't move. Irony was that it had run fine the day before and was parked for the night. It was a really warm day and after checking fluid levels and finding no leaks anywhere and trying to get it to work I had the bright idea that since the day was rather warm and it was shut down the evening before when it was pretty cool, maybe the heating of the hydraulic oil in the system had expanded to the point that the valve wouldn't release. So I loosened a hose coupling near the control valve, bled off a little oil pressure and amazingly it started to work. Never ever had a problem like that before or again.

No experience with whites, but my IH has a lock circuit to prevent unexpected dropping or creeping down. You may have a blockage in that pilot circuit that won't shift the spool to allow flow.
