How to disassemble the reel lift master cylinder JD 220

I need to replace the nose seal on the reel lift master cylinder of a 220 bean head. It's the one on the right side. It doesn't have the ring on the piston like the slave cylinder. If it does I can't see it. Thanks in advance for any help.

Is that possibly the type where you shove the "gland" inward, farther into the barre,l to expose a hidden snapring that retains it into the barrel?
