Question

Just finished my wheat plots for chicken feed. I am growing a small plot of barley (about 3/4 acre) for a seed company and want to get as much of the residual wheat seed out of the combine as possible. I was gonna run the thresher for a bit, blow out with air and repeat with the access and other elevator doors open. Also thought of running a bit of straw thru the thresher. Any thoughts?

Open any doors you can. Clean grain and tailings elevator doors, rock trap door, etc. use an air chuck to blow all you can out of everywhere you can reach. Then, button everything back up again and cut 10 feet into your seed field. Open everything up again and clean it all out. You should be good to go

Much easier to wash it out with the garden hose then to blow it out with air hose.
