Case IH belts vs. aftermarket brands---your opinion?

Is there an advantage to getting a combine belt from Case IH? Vs. one of the aftermarket brands?

Need to replace the separator drive belt on my 1420. Case IH wants $425. I can get a belt from Abilene Machine for $242.

Does the extra cost of the Case IH OEM belt get you a better belt? What has been your experience with aftermarket combine belts, as far as durability, etc.

Have had good luck with aftermarket belts...not your application but heavy drive belts. Wanted to have a drive belt for a White combine on hand. No longer available but the price was over 600. Looked up the same length and triple v application from Gates belts. Bought from them for $155 and $28 shipping for the same size belt.

For that price I’d give it a whirl . I’m tired of sending my money to Italy and paying for fiat executives yacht payments and then get a china part anyway

Try this Co.on the belt you will need a part#.The only belt I would use from CIH would be the rotor belt, from what I heard they seem to last a lot longer than aftermarket.

we have run aftermarket belts on peanut and grain combines with good results most all of which can be crossed to industrial, classic sizes ie. A B C D E, if you have the time to wait on them you can order them online and save a lot of money compared to the same belt sold with and OEM decal attached which are not made by them to start with, just be sure the sales person knows how to convert the actual belt length to the correct industrial, classic size ie. C36 is 40 inches.
