Combine Sieves Stuck!

Got a 1954 T3 combine with both top and bottom stuck sieves. Grain hasn't been run through the combine since August 24 1967 when it harvested some Flax in North Dakota. How would a guy go about freeing them up without bending anything. WD40 work? Always second guessing myself so I don't ruin anything.

Well wd-40 might work but its going to take a bunch. I freed mine up by mixing half half diesel and gasoline in a windex bottle. Spray it on generously. Once you get a little movement keep spraying and it
goes fast from there.

So what exactly do you combine with it? I would love to ask how wide open them sieves are so I don't gave to go though the hectic of adjustment.

Wheat is all Ive ever done with it
Its not a big deal
I just set them at 3/8 of an inch and go
Works good in all machines[/quote]

Ok Thankyou!!! Say what direction are your bushing keepers for the sieve hangers? They have that lip on them you know and some on my T3 have the lip facing outward and some facing in-words into the combine. What way should they be? I have looked in the manual and cant get a good enough look in the picture to see what way they should be on. I dont want to bend the hangers.
