rebuilding sprayer

I know this is not a combine question but I figured you guys would know the answer. My son has an old sprayed that we have been using to spray corn and beans. We always planted 38" rows. It would cover 8 rows. This year we got a 6 row 30" planter so we would like to add a little to the booms to cover 12 rows. The booms are just 1" square tubing that are supported by chains so I figure we only need to add 30" to each side to cover 12 - 30" rows. The sprayer nozzles are set up on 20" spacing. so we would like to change them to 15" spacing. we would also like to plug every other one and put on some drops to apply liquid nitrogen to the corn. This sprayer only has a 6 roller pump. Will it supply enough for 12 rows and also for putting on 30 gal. of nitrogen.

It should cover 30 feet wide for spraying without a problem, but I do not know if it has enough flow to put on 30 gallons/acre of fertilizer without going really slow.

Im not sure how old your tank is
Some fertilizers get up to 12 lb per gallon
Your tank might not be strong enough to handle those weights
Just saying

The tank is only a few years old. its only about 150 gal and it has a full cradle under it so it I think it will be fine. I just worry about the pump.

We use a small roller pump to put nitrogen on with a 16 row cultivator it handles 20 gallons easily more is possible at 4-5 mph. You won't be able to set any speed records but going down to 12 rows it should be possible at a higher speed with a pump like ours.
