Next year will be 750's first time in wheat for me. Will be using 15'head, used 13' with 550. Sure do a lot of sweating in July with the air not working for years, doesn't work in 750 either.

the a/c worked well in these both had 24' hdrs and the V-8 with hydro's but that was a few years ago lol wish I had taken pics of them in the day,, we did have some issues with the sickle box on one as it never wanted to make a full stroke from new for some reason,, but only really was a issue in 70 plus bpa wheat,, they were owned by a father and son custom cutter from OK they always wanted me to go home with them to cut milo and corn but I never did, we did have to blow the radiators out every day as we never could seal the intakes up enough to keep out the chaff,, think they had rotating screens first couple years but they wore pretty fast and leaked chaff horrible,, also the motorola alts would not last so i helped him convert them to delco's I used 4 tubes of grease each day greasing them cant remember now if that was per machine or for both but I know I used a lot of grease lol

Good pics. We finished our MF era with a grey cab 760. Still have a 1977 510 a neighbor pawned off on us.

I don't have any pictures of my two 550s. Not sure why, I just tucked them in for the winter or I would post some.

one has working air, it makes life much better in July. I even used the air some on the early October corn. Been using 13' 1859 on both, and 1143 corn heads. Going to a 15' 1859 next year so I can clip my straw(9' haybine doesn't play well with a 13' head).

I just bought a third, but I think it is destined to be a parts machine. Came with 4 heads, should keep me in parts for a long time. Anyone need a really nice 1163?

I was trying to buy a '87 8560 before I bought the 750 last year. It was one owner and very well taken care of but 400 miles away in Minnesota. With heads I could had bought for $10,000 but two trips to haul so trucking of $3200. Didn't have the guts to lay that much out sight unseen, later sold on Big Iron for about same price. I regret I didn't buy it, nice quiet cab with air and 22' bean head would have ben sweet.

Ran a 410 then a 550 for over 30 years when 550 bit the dust went with a CIH so much more comfort in the cab with the engine in the rear.
