I cut up my old 55. My first combine, bought in '81.Hauled it across the mountain in '85.Sold it twice, got it back twice. The last time being gone for seventeen years. It's been 'home' for 10 years now.It was just too far gone to mess with any longer.I just bought a 55SB corn special with 313 cornhead for $1500.Just couldn't justify keeping the old one any more. Rusted, needed two drive tires....It's loaded, hauling it in the morning.Kind of like shooting your old dog. :(

First off it is good to hear from you again. It is kind of hard to part them out. I parted my 55 out when it started getting 303 disease (antifreeze in the oil). Ran it a whole fall with plain water to finish up beans. The cylinder bars were shot and all the metal was getting thin as well. It was always shedded and very nice but just wore out. Took about everything off that would fit the 95 and the 105 and sent it to scrap. This winter I am planning on putting both 95's in the shop and building one perfect one and then parting the other. That will leave me with a 105 and a 95 diesel and a 95 and 105 parts machines.Do you still have your 95? Sounds like your 55 corn special and 313 head will make a good combination. Tom

Yep. Still have my good 95/443 cornhead.. Plan is to put the 14' grainhead from the old roundback onto the 'new' 55 and use it for soybeans and small grains. I could also fall back on the 55 for corn shoud the 95 go down.

that seems a lot dollars for one that old, do not know why but seen 6620 series at auction only bring 1000 dollars this was in 2018 fall sale
