F2 short back Gleaner combine

I would like to know pros and cons of the early F2 gas combine. I plan to use it w/13? bean head and small grain pickup. Thanks DTK.

It LOVES gasoline !! We ran an F with a 292 Chevy, almost as thirsty as a D-19 gasser.

Good machine, easy to set, operate, maintain and repair. Will do a decent job in small grains, just don't overload the shoe. Get a manual and go from there. Good luck.

I think they are a good combine. It's about the same as driving a car.

Dad had gas F. DIESEL F, and 4 cylinder "long" F2. Outside of AC in the F2 we liked the F best. 301 is a great engine.

Just make SURE that the engine is running at correct WOT RPM's, we had a straight F that was running 300 rpm's slow, after tweaking, was a completely different machine.

They love gas you will be pumping a lot, otherwise a great combine and I?m assuming you aren?t going to be farming a whole county so it will be good.
