Hi. Has anyone any experience on restoration of this type of combine or Waukesha XA engine similar. Are there any working at threshing reunions?

I've wanted one for a long time & by searching off & on throughout the years, have not seen nor heard of one working at any show. I suppose, I haven't been to every show, though. The Waukesha was a very common engine. One example of use I can think of is in the Six Speed Special truck from IH. I'd wager there would still be plenty of parts for that engine. May want to get a hold of someone at the Waukesha engine club for more info. As for the rest of the machine, most all parts are unavailable & would have to be fabricated. Parts machines are few & scattered throughout the west. Hope yours is relatively complete.

Good Luck!
Mike

In reference to what Absent Minded said, I don't know if Waukesha has a club, but WWW.Smokstak.com has a 'multi-unit power unit' forum that includes Waukesha. I'm sure they'd have a loyal following. Hopes this helps.

Absent Minded, Interesting Waukesha web site. Pretty neat they have a museum too. Thanks for making it known. I'm big into Wisconsin engines which were made in West Allis, a neighbor of Waukesha.
Tom, I hope you persue that combine. Is there a chance?
