Gleaner K2 Heads?

What Gleaner heads will fit my 1978 K2? I went to look at an early K the other day that had a 330 corn head on it. Was thinking the combine might be good as a parts machine and I was looking for a 330 head. The head mounted differently than my K2 which has big hooks at the top and latches at the bottom. The K had latches top and bottom. So much was different on the combine itself that it wasnt worth buying for parts. I didnt know there were so many differences in a K & K2. Is there a name or model # for a 330 corn head that will fit my K2 so I know what to look for?

Heads made concurrently with the K2 were the black, adjustable "A" heads. BUT, the proper finishing bundle would come with the head for each specific combine. The good news for you is that most any three row will be set up for the K series. Some of the orange heads had the big hooks on top also. They would work on your combine.

If you have a head that has the big hooks, you can put them on the one that doesn't have they. They can be converted.
If you don't have them, Oakley salvage may be able to help you.

OK, So the head I looked at could be converted to the hooks. Is it a matter of just bolting the hooks on or is some fabricating required.
Unfortunately I think that one sold already.

Some have bolts and holes to convert pretty easy. Well, very easily.

I think some you need to torch the top little hooks off and lightly fabricate mounting for the top big pipe hooks on top. It?s not major work, but it is some fabricating.

Where are you located?? Google BRYANT COMBINE and click on "for sale". Seems like they had a 3/30 recently.

Im in Central NY. Thats the problem. Im not exactly in the grain belt.
Thanks everyone for the info. It is good to be informed when on the hunt!
