Yes the 751 is a pull type PTO powered machine. I would be powering it with a 140 PTO horse power tractor which should be adequate, but I'm concerned about the machines weak spots because new parts may be obsolete, and used parts may be hard to find.

Massey had a great reputation for grain quality, but I think they are unnecessarily complicated when it comes to repair.

Look at the top of the pan under straw walkers for any rust. Check the straw walker journals for any broken welds. If possible, take an IR non-contact thermometer and start the combine and run it for 5 minutes or more, then check the temperature on every idler pulley for the possibility of bad bearings. Look for rust holes in the grain tank where the cross auger fits. and the bottom of the cleanout for the vertical auger.

I have this combines bigger brother the 851 MF and I have pulled it no problem with my 100hp IH966. I now pull it with a 135 Kubota, because it has a nicer cab with air conditioning.
Parts have been no problem to get from my local MF dealership.

Lots of 750, 850, 751 and 851 combines were used in western Canada. Western Canadian used parts yards like Combine World will have parts for
these for a long time to come.

Well look at that! I had no idea those models were ever built. The only Massey pull types I?ve ever seen in this area was a 405. Have seen quite a few 6601 JD and a 7701. Lots of 750 850 and 860 self propelled, never seen a 751 or 851 Massey before.
