Corn #127805; heads again

Any 40 or 90 series corn head will fit on. The only thing to watch for is that the corn head has Level land drives. The straight shaft with sprocket on the end. Side hill and contour master drives would had a bearing on the back shaft and hex shaft for a telescoping shaft top mount on.

444,494,are 4row wide,643,693,are 6 row narrow, 644,694,are 6 row wide 844,894,are 8 row wide,893,843 are 8row narrow. Wide is 36-40" rows.narrow is around 30" rows.

Thanks for the replies . Still not a hundred percent on whether or not I?ll have corn to combine next year or not

I should have broken the model number down for you. The first number is the number of rows it harvests. The second number is the series of the header. The last number is the row width. 4 = wide row 36-38 inch. 3 = narrow row 28-30 inch. 0 = vary narrow 20 inch.

Some examples. 444 is a four row wide. 643 is a six row narrow. 693 is a newer six row narrow. 1290 header is a 12 row 20 inch head.

I ran a 643 on my 7720. A lot of them here in the mid west. Probably not out there. Wide rows don?t bring much at all

SVcummins,

my neck of the woods you can usually find the 6 row narrows in decent shape between 1500-3000, give or take. i dont see many 4 rows a all, and 6 rows are not showing up like they used too.

ill pick one up for ya, but i aint delivering haha

(quoted from post at 22:20:54 12/06/18 ) Will a 7700 run a 6 row head ? Where are you
located?

6600 and up will run a 6 row head, ive seen a lot of 8 row heads on 7700's they didnt look like they struggled, moved along pretty well.

I live kinda between kc and topeka, south a ways.

If you buy that 60 or 720 that is on that big iron sale i would do some trading with ya HAHAH

Man I?d like to have that loader . It?s going cheap
right now . I will keep in touch as the year goes on .
If I could pick up a corn head cheap I think I?d get
one

SVcummins,

where are you on the planet? relative anyway?

there are several corn heads on big iron and a bunch on auctiontime.

Its also not unheard of to run a row crop head on corn, they are typically cheaper and in some years i like it better if i am not running a lot because it breaks the stalks up a lot more so they decay a lot more and faster.
